Ok, I ended up spending more time in Regina Beach last summer ( 2022) than I wanted. Don't ask why or how I just did. Now, there are some good things about Regina Beach but not enough to justify staying for a week.

Towards the last days there, they had an event called the Red-Neck parade. This is rural Saskatchewan to start with, so that is almost every day, except the cars are closer together. It is a colourful event and worth sitting in the ditch for.

This is a crazy event where they dress up their old vehicles and parade them down the main street. There is a surprising variation of vehicles and colourful characters to go with them. I can see the influence in my Dad as he spent a lot of time growing up here.

Eveybody was drinking beer, and the police did not say a thing. They turned off their minor crime detectors for a few hours once a year.

This big truck that you see above belongs to dads friend Shelly and her family. It is a big old army vehicle. Jamey, Dad's friend, was a sniper for many years in the Canadian military. So there is a lot of old army stuff around the farm.

Of course, Batman was there. I think he got lost leaving Gotham city. Certainly one of the more crazy ideas for a parade I can think of. As much fun as it was, I am pretty sure that this is going to be my last Red-Neck Parade!!
