Bow Hut: My first Alpine Hut trip working with Dad 06/17/2018

Bow hut is just north of Lake Louise, 45 minute drive. This is where we start our trip. There is only one way to get to Bow Hut, and that is by pack packing all your gear in. It takes about five hours without many breaks. My Dad was guiding a group, and there was a boy about my age. The owners asked if I could go along so that the kid had somebody to hang out with.

Below are a bunch of photos of the trip. We only climbed the Onion, which took three hours. There was much smoke that summer, which left a haze everywhere. It made breathing a little harder. We roped up at one point and travelled on the ice. Glaciers are super cool and fun to walk on.
